ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released its Academic Honor Roll for both winter and spring sports. The list is comprised of student-athletes across the 24 MAC winter and spring sports who competed for a full season and registered a GPA of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale.
In total, 3,542 student-athletes who competed in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's wrestling, men's and women's fencing, baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, and beach volleyball were recognized across the MAC's 18 member institutions. Additionally, a total of 564 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Eastern Athletics had a total of 213 student-athletes compete in 15 sports, 151 of which were named to the MAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll. Even with several of them appearing on both lists and for multiple sports, Eastern had 125 individuals recognized for their academic performance this spring.
Eighteen Eastern athletes finished with a 4.0 GPA in the 2022 Spring semester. Combined with the 86 honorees in the fall, and taking athletes who were honored in multiple sports into account, Eastern had a grand total of 222 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements in 2021-2022.
