ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Men's Tennis has not played a match since a season-opening loss to FDU-Florham in March. So even though Hood could only travel with three players, the Eagles were eager to get back on the court and compete. Eastern won all four contests in the unofficial match.
Bryan Levi and
Nick Wool combined to win a lengthy 8-6 decision in the doubles match. Levi had an extended test at first singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win. While the final scoreline was decisive, the match included several long rallies that tested both players. The win is the first singles win of his career.
Wool cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and Kenny Samuel did not drop a game in his third singles match.
The Eagles will play with the entire line-up at Stevenson University tomorrow and will host Lebanon Valley College on Saturday.
