Strong Doubles Play Lifts Men's Tennis At Bryn Athyn

Box Score BRYN ATHYN, Pa.– Eastern University Men's Tennis won all three doubles matches and rode that momentum to an 8-1 non-league win at Bryn Athyn College.

How It Happened:
The Eagles were active at the net in all three doubles matches. Ryan Hamilton and Karl Finkbeiner did not drop a game at first doubles and Cole Patti and Nick WOol won 8-1 at second singles. Nick Humes and Sean Kline needed a little more time, but the duo managed to claim an 8-5 win at the third doubles spot.

Humes owned his match at the top singles spot. He did not drop a game. Nick Wool matched that score at fifth singles. Hamilton won 6-0, 6-1 at #2 and Finkbeiner lost a game in each set on the way to a 6-1,6-1 win at the fourth spot.

Patti won 6-3,6-1 in the third spot. Kline fell in a super-tiebreaker at the sixth spot after all the other matches had concluded.

Coach Spangler says:
"We have been working on net play and executing in our doubles play. We closed well and finished a lot of points at the net."
