Ryan Torresin won a pair of matches, but Eastern University Men's Tennis dropped a 7-2 decision at FDU-Florham in the MAC Freedom opener for both teams.

Karl Finkbeiner pulled the Eagles to within a point heading to singles with an 8-3 win at the top doubles spot. The Devils dropped only one game in winning matches at second and third doubles.
Torresin overpowered his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the first singles spot, but the Devils returned the favor with two-set at the other five spots. Finkbeiner battled to a 6-0, 6-4 loss at second singles, but the rest of the Eastern line-up only won four games combined.
"Ryan was just dominant today," Head Coach
Mark Spangler said after the match, "and Karl had an excellent doubles match and put together a very good second set in singles."
The Eagles (1-4, 0-1 MAC Freedom) are slated to host Immaculata on Tuesday before traveling to Wilkes Barre on Wednesday to take on Wilkes in another MAC Freedom test.
