Torresin Collects Lone Point for Men's Tennis Against Cabrini

Box Score ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – One day after returning to the courts following Winter Storm Stella, the Eastern University men's tennis dropped an 8-1 decision to Eagle Road rival Cabrini University. Ryan Torresin was Eastern's lone winner in the match.

Torresin earned a 7-5, 6-1 win at the top singles spot. The senior collected his second win of the spring with the victory.

"Ryan played a really solid singles match against a very good player," Head Coach Mark Spangler said after the match. "He played excellent defense and took advantage of his opportunities on short balls today."

The rest of the Eastern singles line-up combined to win eight total games. The Eagles had won the last six men's tennis matches in the rivalry. Cabrini last claimed bragging rights in April of 2007.

The Eagles are scheduled to return to the courts against Penn State Abington at home next Wednesday.

"It will be good to have some time outside," Spangler concluded. "We want to work on doubles play and finishing points at the net."
