Box Score ABINGTON, Pa. - Eastern Men's Tennis was swept 9-0 Wednesday afternoon by host Penn State Abington. The Eagles battled hard but came up short in the end falling to 2-4 on the season.
"They were a good team and solid 1-6," said Head Coach

Grant Williams and
Kyle Berner fought hard in the first doubles match but fell just short in the end 8-5. "I thought they played very competitively but just couldn't come up with the big points," said Spangler.Â
Williams turned in a solid effort in the first singles match but would eventually fall in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. "Grant played well and tough today but was outlasted by their number one," continued Spangler.Â
Both Berner and
Ryan Ellison turned in great efforts in their singles matches but would also fall in straight sets by scores of 6-4, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-2 respectively.Â
Eastern travels to King's College on April 2nd to open MAC Freedom play.Â
