ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern University Men's Tennis soared to a 9-0 victory over the Rosemont College Ravens on Monday afternoon, claiming its first victory of the 2014-15 season.
The Eagles continue to have the Ravens' number, winning each match since the teams started playing in 2009 and winning by a combined individual match total of 53-1.
On Monday, a game originally scheduled as an away game but moved to Eastern, the Eagles flashed their home-court advantage and quickly swept the Ravens in doubles play.
In singles play, Eagles' Grant Williams and Christian Torres claimed 6-0, 6-0 victories. Torres was one of four Eagles that collected their first collegiate wins today. Antonio Lopez won in No. 3 doubles with Torres, John Anchundia won in No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles, and Tim Bowdoin won in No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-0.
The Eagles slate against CSAC teams continues on Wednesday at Neumann University at 3 p.m.
