ST. DAVIDS, Pa.—Eastern Men's Tennis finished what they started six days ago, defeating the Cabrini College Cavaliers 8-1 on Monday afternoon.
The Eagles began the match on March 25, and had a 2-0 advantage in doubles play when the match was halted because of snow.
Eastern's first doubles duo of Grant Williams and Dan Fowler entered the snow-delay tied at four games apiece with Cabrini's Anthony DiCicco and Sean Neary but were able to pull away on Monday to take the match 8-5.
The Eagles have now won the Battle of Eagle Road against the neighboring Cavaliers five years in a row.
With four straight wins, the Eagles have improved to 4-3 on the year and continue a busy week with their first conference game of the year on Wednesday against Arcadia.
