READING, Pa.--Eastern Men's Tennis stumbled on the road Thursday afternoon in their final dual match of the fall season.
The Eagles were blanked by the Albright College Lions, 9-0, but had two singles player force a third set.
After dropping doubles by scores of 8-0, 8-6 and 8-3, the Eagles put up a fight in No. 1 and No. 4 singles.
Easten's No. 1 Grant Williams lost his first set in a straight set, but bounced back in the second set, winning 7-6 (7-5). In the third set, Albright's Matthew Muoio won the match tie-break 10-5.
In the No. 4 singles match, Mitchell Weaver lost his first set 6-1, but won the second set 7-5. Weaver fell to Albright's Evan Cuff 10-7 in the match tie-break.
The Eagles, done with dual matches for the fall, will participate in the MAC Individual Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
