Men's Tennis Takes Final Two at Cabrini

Box Score

RADNOR, Pa.- Eastern University Men's Tennis finished its come-from-behind win at Cabrini this afternoon. Dan Fowler and Tyler Schultz each won third sets in their matches to earn a 6-3 win in a match that began on March 26.

After dropping all three doubles points, the Eagles rallied to take the next four points of the match with singles wins by Grant Williams, Mylon Weaver, Jason Spargo, and Codie Todd. The host Cavaliers (1-10) won the first sets at both first and third singles, but Fowler had made steps toward leveling his match with a 5-2 lead at the first spot and Schultz was even at a set apiece when the rains came.

With a number of league matches and other conflicts, the two neighboring schools decided to finish the match on the nicest day of the year to date.

Fowler split a pair of games to take the second set and then powered his way to a 6-0 win for the match. Schultz battled to a 6-4 win in the third set to win his match 6-7, 6-3, 6-4.

The Eagles (4-3) are at Arcadia University for a Freedom Conference test tomorrow afternoon.
