ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern Men's Tennis toppled the Bryn Athyn Lions 8-1 in Thursday's non-conference tennis match.
With the win, the Eagles moved to an even 5-5 this season overall. The Lions, in their second year as an intercollegiate tennis team, are still looking for their first program win.
Eastern swept doubles play 8-1, 8-2, 8-1. In the top three singles matches the Eagles gave up just one game. Dan Fowler dropped that one game, but won his No. 1 match with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory. Fowler is 6-4 in singles matches this season and is 91-61 in overall games.
The Eagles play at home against Misericordia Saturday at noon.
