Box Score The Eastern University men's tennis team beat Alvernia 7-2 this afternoon to secure a spot in the Freedom Conference Team Championship this weekend. The Eagles won two of three doubles contests and five of six singles tilts on their way to their fourth victory in a row.

Michael Roth teamed with Jordan Gates to win 8-3 at first doubles. The sophomore then earned a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 win over Zach Lockwood at first singles. Gates won 6-2, 6-2 at the second spot. Bryan Arnett battled to a 6-2, 6-4 win at third singles to ensure Eastern dominance at the top of the order.

Dan Wilson and Sean McGuinness earned straight set wins at fifth and sixth singles. Wilson teamed with Josh Hall to take the third doubles spot 8-3.

Eastern Head Coach Mark Spangler was pleased with his team's play as of late. "We definitely had our tough times early, but the guys are playing with confidence." He continued, "we are looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend."
