Men's Tennis Drops Match at Neumann

Box Score only point of the afternoon with a win at third doubles.

The Eagles, playing for the third straight day, played without Jordan Gates in the singles rotation. Gates and Michael Roth played first doubles together, but Coach Spangler held his #2 out as a precautionary measure. Bryan Arnett battled bravely at the second spot, but fell in three sets. Sean McGuinness fell in a tight two set match at fifth singles.

The best match of the afternoon was at the first singles spot. Roth won the first set 6-3 over Neumann's David Pfister, but dropped the next two sets 6-4 and 7-5. Head Coach Mark Spangler was pleased with Roth's effort saying, "Michael battled a very good player. That match and Arnett's effort playing in the second spot bodes well for us down the road."

The Eagles have a week to get healthy before hosting Manhattanville College in their Freedom Conference opener next Wednesday.
