Emily Trzonkowski claimed another prestigious honor on Monday, earning a spot on the distinguished 12-player team.
Trzonkowski was efficient and effective as Eastern's No. 1 pitcher and established herself as one of the MAC Commonwealth's best arms. She became the second Eastern player in the last three years to earn both Pitcher and Rookie of the Year accolades from the MAC Commonwealth. She was named to the 2026 NFCA Division III All-Region V squad and also earned All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honors.
Trzonkowski went 16-1 in her first season with Eastern, tied for the most wins in a single season in program history. She won her first 15 starts, which included wins over ranked teams from Rowan and Swarthmore. She struck out 126 batters, which included a program recored 16 in a win over Immaculata back in late March, while also throwing a five-inning no-hitter at York. She threw 12 complete games and recorded six shoutouts while boasting a 1.99 ERA. In 112.1 innings, she gave up just 86 hits and 32 earned runs.
Academic All-MAC teams are selected by vote for performance in the classroom and in competition from nominees of all 16 MAC Institutions. Individuals have to earn at least a 3.2 semester GPA to be nominated. Trzonkowski is the third Eagle in the last three seasons to earn a spot on the Academic All-MAC team.
