Onyeka Earns All-MAC Commonwealth Honor

NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today released All-Conference lists and special awards for the 2025-26 men's basketball season. League coaches selected Eastern University forward Olise Onyeka as a First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth Performer.

Onyeka led the MAC Commonwealth and was 23rd nationally with 10.7 rebounds per contest. In 24 games, he posted a league-best 16 double-doubles. Only five Division III players in the country hit for more double-doubles.

His 16.3 points per game was ninth in the league in scoring. That offensive production would have been in the top five in the league in scoring every year since Eastern joined the league.

At the defensive end, Onyeka blocked 52 shots this year and was second in the league with 2.2 rejections per game. He finished his career in second on Eastern's all-time list with 146.

In league play, he shot 45.2 percent from behind the arc and grabbed 11.9 redounds per contest. It is the first time the senior from Cedar Park Texas has earned post-season honors.

Hood's Jevon Yarbrough was picked as the Player of the Year. He and Onyeka were joined on the first team by Jayden Rowe from York and Phanique Dupree and Quadir Mitchell from Albright.
