Grace Cooper was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.
In another 2-1 week for Eastern Women's Volleyball, Cooper finished with 48 digs, five assists, and four service aces. The Collegeville collected 16 digs, two assists, and two service aces in Eastern's four set win over Lancaster Bible on Thursday. Down in Virginia over the weekend, Cooper recorded 13 digs in the Eagles' three-set win over Eastern Mennonite, before adding 19 digs and two assists against Marymount.
Cooper joins former teammates Grace Casagrande and
Viviana Fragoso as one of three defensive specialists to earn multiple POTW accolades from the MAC since 2021.
Eastern (7-7) will be in Frederick on Wednesday for a MAC Commonwealth tilt against Hood before returning home to The NEST on Friday night for a showdown with Blue Route rival Widener.
