NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today released the first Academic All-MAC lists for 2025 Spring Sports. Eastern University sophomore Ainsley O'Donnell earned a spot on the Academic All-MAC Softball squad for a second time.

O'Donnell, a chemistry major from Moscow, Pa., hit leadoff and played a stellar center field while helping the Eagles to reach an NCAA Tournament Regional final for the first time in program history. O'Donnell missed time with injury early in the year. Once she returned to the line-up she helped the Eastern offense to score a record 263 runs. Her .504 on base percentage led the Eagles.

O'Donnell again earned All-Region Honors as an outfielder.

Student-Athletes need at least a 3.2 semester GPA to be nominated for Academic All-MAC recognition. The 10 honorees on the 2025 Academic All-MAC squad claimed nine spots on All-Region Teams and had a 3.81 average GPA. All ten players earned All-Conference recognition in either the MAC Freedom or MAC Commonwealth, and nine of them were first-team honorees.  The team was selected by votes from Sports Information Directors from the MAC. The full team can be seen at www.gomacsports.com.
