Men's Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Eastern University Men's Soccer Head Coach Luca Mellor has released his teams' 2025 schedule. The Eagles will play ten home games in their 18-match regular season slate.

Eastern opens the season with a road test at Delaware Valley University on Aug. 30 before opening the home portion of the schedule with a Friday afternoon contest against Main Line-rival Haverford College on Spt. 5. The two schools that first played over 50 years ago resumed their rivalry last fall after having not played since 2012. The Eagles emerged with a 1-0 victory on a late game-winner from Kade Seip. The game against the Fords is the first of four against opponents from the Centennial Conference.

The Eagles will travel to Rutgers Newark on Sept. 10 and Moravian on the 13th before returning to Olson Field for a three-game stretch that starts with a Sept. 16 match against Ursinus College. On Saturday the 20th, the Eagles will host Pitt Greensburg in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The home stretch ends on the 23rd with a test against Penn State Berks.

After playing the Knights of Neumann University on the afternoon of Sept. 27, the Eagles will host the Knights of Arcadia during the day on Olson Field. Neumann is slated to join the Middle Atlantic Conference in 2026. Eastern and Arcadia changed places in the MAC in 2020, but the Eagles and Knights have a rivalry dating back to 1985. The two schools met in the PAC Tournament five times in six seasons between 2000 and 2005. Though Arcadia won the match between the two sides last season, Eastern leads that series 15-14-1.

The Eagles open the MAC Commonwealth season with the longest road trip of the year. The Eagles will make the two and a half hour trip to Hood College on Oct. 4. Eastern lost 1-0 at Hood in 2023 and escaped with a 1-0 win in 2021 in the team's only other game in Frederick.

On Oct. 9 the Eagles are at Swarthmore for a night game to prep for a tough Homecoming match against the defending MAC Commonwealth Champion Messiah Falcons on Friday Oct. 10. The Following Tuesday, Eastern will host Washington College in the team's final non-league test of the year.

After going to York on Oct. 18, Eastern is home for three of the final four games. A Tuesday test at Albright is the only road game left in the regular season.

After starting 0-2 in the league last fall, the Eagles finished the year 2-3-2 in the league. The top four teams in the regular season will advance to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament which will begin on Nov. 5.
