NEWTOWN, Pa.— The Middle Atlantic Conference Office today released All-Conference lists and special awards for the 2025 men's soccer season. MAC Commonwealth coaches selected four Eastern University men for all-league recognition.
Evan Cope earned a spot on theFirst Team as a forward, and Joåo Tarabal,
Zach Sievert, and
Ty Bleiler all claimed second-team spots.
For Cope, it is his second all-league honor. Competing in a his hardship season, Cope tallied a career-best 25 points with ten goals and five assists. His 38 career goals are the most by any Eastern player since 2002, and puts him fifth on the list of Eastern goal-scorers in the NCAA era. Cope provided the critical late assist after a lengthy run from a deep position to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead at York. That win helped to keep the Eagles in the playoff chase until the final moments of the 2025 season.
Tarabal picks up second-team recognition for the second time in two seasons of competition. After missing his rookie season with injury, the junior midfielder from Brazil scored twice and had eight assists last year. This fall, he finished with five goals and five helpers while playing from a slightly deeper position. His ability to escape from tight situations and distribute over distance helped the Eastern offense to create chances throughout the year.
Despite missing Eastern's final three matches with injury, Sievert earned his second honor as well. He earned second-team recognition in 2023. The junior midfielder played in multiple spots during the year and finished with eight goals. Though he was Eastern's second-leading scorer, he often had to do that work from deeper positions after covering and winning balls. Before getting injured in the 84th minute against Stevenson, Sievert played just over 88 minutes a contest for the Eagles. The team captain went all 90 minutes 11 times and only once played less than 81 minutes.
Bleiler made 85 stops in 16 matches in goal. Eastern's senior goalkeeper played and started in 62 matches and finished with 295 saves through his four-year career. He posted seven saves, including an 89th minute penalty kick stop in Eastern's 1-0 win at York. Bleiler's ability to control his box on crosses and distribute over distance with accuracy allowed the Eagles to clear their zone and to be dangerous in the counter-attack throughout the year. It is Bleiler's first All-MAC Commonwealth honor.
Eastern Men's Soccer finished fifth in the MAC Commonwealth regular season.
