NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference office today released weekly awards for the week ending Oct. 5, 2025. Sophomore Mary Brusstar became the first player in program history to win a MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week award following a pair of wins at PSU Abington on Saturday.

Brusstar, who hails from the Bronx, dropped just two games in a straight set (6-1, 6-1) win at No. 1 singles. She also recorded a victory at No. 1 doubles, teaming with Sarah Mower to win 6-4, 6-4. Her wins helped lift Eastern to its first win of the fall season.

Eastern will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25 at home in its fall finale against Cairn University. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
