Box Score ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern Women's Tennis opened its 2026 fall season on Saturday at the EU Tennis Courts with a 4-3 win over the Immaculata Mighty Macs. With each individual match counting as one point, the Eagles earned wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 1, 3, and 5 singles. 

After Immaculata earned the first point at No. 1 doubles, senior Kiley McHugh and junior Anaya Birch tied the match at 1-1 with a 6-3 win over Laura Pharo and Ashley Batejan. 

Birch won by forfeit at No. 5 singles to put the Eagles up 2-1, before Brusttar earned her first singles win of the season with a 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 victory over Hailey Elwell to gave the Eagles a 3-1 advantage. First-year Delaney Stryd clinched the match for Eastern with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Pharo for the first singles win of her collegiate career. 

Eastern (1-0) will return to action next Saturday for a home match against Penn State Abington at 12:00 noon.
