ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In its penultimate match on Wednesday, Eastern Women's Tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to the Stevenson Mustangs on Wednesday evening.
Sarah Mower earned her team-high sixth win of the year at No. 3 singles, but the Eagles failed to pick up points in any other match.
Mower took down Sofia McCoy at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2, giving the Eagles their first point and cutting the Mustangs' lead to 3-1. However, the Mustangs picked up the win at No. 1 singles to secure the victory.
Anisah Smith won five games at No. 1 singles, but fell to Ariella Stepleman 6-3, 6-2.
Kayleigh Achenbach also won five games at No. 6 singles, but fell to Mackenzie Dicke 6-4, 6-1.
Eastern will conclude its season on Friday afternoon against Messiah. First serve is set for 3:30 pm.
