NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference today released weekly awards for the week of Oct. 21-27. Following a strong showing at the LVC Last Chance Run Fast on Saturday, Eastern senior Hailey Shreffler earned her MAC Women's Runner-of-the-Week honor. Shreffler is the first Eastern Runner-of-the-Week since Kierra Zack in 2016.

The Nesquehoning native recorded her best time of the season in Saturday's race with a third place finish. She crossed the finish line in 23:44.8, finishing behind a pair of D1 runners, and helped the Eagles place second out of five scoring teams.

Eastern is back in action this coming Saturday for the 2024 MAC Championships in Grantham. The race is scheduled for 11:00 am.
