The Eagles scored single tallies in the fourth, seventh and eighth, but they left 12 runners on and struck out 11 times against the Alvernia pitching.
Brian Lang went 2-for-4 with a home run, but the Eagles were unable to put up a crooked number in any inning.
Logan Culp provided a lone bright spot for the Eagles with a solid five innings of relief in the middle of the game. The sophomore right hander retired the first 14 hitters he faced and allowed only a bunt single through five innings in the middle of the game.
The Golden Wolves took advantage of the Eastern bullpen and four defensive miscues for a 14-run ninth.
The Eagles (2-11, 0-3) will be back on the diamond at The Yard tomorrow as they start a MAC Commonwealth series against the defending Champion Lebanon Valley Dutchmen.
