Cooper started with a double and a bogey but was able to stay away fro the big number the of the way to match Marrollo.
The Eagles trail York. The Spartans have two players still out on the course with two holes to play. Mangene and Bruecks are currently tied for fourth and Cooper and Marrollo are tied for twelfth.
"I am super-proud of these guys today, Head Coach
Drew Patterson said after the round. "They grinded and battled really hard. I am really proud of Nicky today. He held it together well after having the worst imaginable start. Zach and Jack also battled really hard and didn't give up at all. They really made a lot of birdies kept battling back and never quit. Their mental games are strong. They need to have it right now. We will need York to come back to us a little, but I'm really excited to see if we can fix the little mistakes and play well tomorrow. All these guys can go low."
