ST. DAVIDS, Pa.–
Bryan Levi won his match at the top of the singles order, but Eastern University Men's Tennis was unable to claim another match and fell 8-1 to the visitng Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen. Down players, the Eagles started the match trailing 2-0 because of a forfeit loss at third doubles and at sixth singles.
Levi's match was the highlight of the day for the Eagles. He cruised to a 6-1 win in the opening set and battled to a tough 6-4 decision in the second.
"Bryan played a great match," Head Coach
Mark Spangler said after the match. "He was solid from th ebaseline and was able to convert a lot of winers with his forehand.
Nick Wool won four games in his opening set before falling 6-4, 6-0 at second singles and
Kenneth Samuel fell 6-4, 6-2 in another tight singles match.
The Eagles will have three matches next week. THey will host York on Wednesday and travel to Alvernia and Messiah on Thursday and Saturday.
