ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– In the final regular season home match for the team's three seniors, Eastern University Volleyball hit .440 in an efficient three-set win over FDU-Florham. The Eagles honored

Morgan Kline, and Cecila Bauer before the match.
How It happened:
The Eagles (17-11, 6-1) jumped to a 10-4 lead in the opening set and pulled away to a 25-15 win. Bauer and
Caroline Shelby each had five kills in the set as the Eagles hit .438 with 19 kills.
Stenby served the Eagles to a 9-2 lead. ally Spillane and Bauer each had three kills in the eight-point service run. The eagles only allowed a single point on serve in winning the second set 25-9. The Eagles fell behind 3-0 in the third set before turning things around to lead 11-7. Spillane then stepped to the service line. The junior served a deck full of aces, including two in a row off the tape and inside the ten-foot line, in an 11-point run to put the set out of reach.
After the Devils (8-17, 1-6) earned a sideout, the Eagles earned the serve back on a kill from Shelby and Kline then served the Eagles to a 25-8 win.
Bauer finished with a match-high 15 kills and nine digs.
Caroline Shelby put away 14 kills on 17 swings (.824) and Spillane added ten kills to go with her five aces, eight digs and a block. Kline had 19 assists. With her night, Shelby moved into ninth place on the Eastern career kill list. She moves in front of Lauren Sproles ('15) who had 1218 kills. Kline is fourth on Eastern's career assist list with 3,816 assists.
Hannah Picconi had four kills on six attempts and added five blocks.

The Eagles have a weekend tournament at SUNY Oneonta before starting the MAC Freedom Tournament with a Wednesday home match against third-seeded DeSales. The two teams have met in each of the last 11 MAC Freedom Tournaments. Ten of those contests were championship matches. The winner of that match will play the winner of the match between Misericordia and top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology.
