ST. DAVIDS, Pa.–
Tim Lamb became the fourth Eastern University Men's Lacrosse player to reach 100 career goals as Eastern University Men's Lacrosse held off King's in sloppy conditions for a 9-7 home win. The Eagles secured a spot int he MAC Freedom Tournament with the win.
Lamb reached the century mark on a transition goal midway through the fourth period. After an errant King's pass from behind the Eastern goal, Lamb lifted the defenders stick at midfield and
Matt Martin won a loose ball heading toward goal. Martin drew a defender and found Lamb on the doorstep for a shot from close range. The goal put the Eagles up 9-5. Lamb joins former teammates Grant Ferguson, Eric Waibel, and David Darling as 100 goal scorers. Lamb, Waibel and Darling all started their careers as midfielders before becoming attackmen for their final two seasons. Ferguson holds the Eastern record with 185 goals.
The Monarchs made things interesting with a goal with 4:08 on the clock and another goal six seconds later.
King's won another faceoff, but

Brandon Callison knifed a ball away from a King's attackman and
Kadeem Colburn was on the spot for the bouncing ball. The Eagles held the ball for the final 80 seconds to secure the win.

Sean Fechter's shot hit pipe and rebounded past midfield for a transition chance. Shawn Dickey put away the man-down goal for King's. The Monarchs took the lead moments later and had a two-man advantage for the final 14 seconds of the first quarter and first 16 seconds of the second period. Trevor Gallion, and Lamb each scored for a 4-2 lead. Both teams added goals before halftime. Eastern had a 26-15 edge in first-half shots, but the Eagles missed the cage on several chances and Monarch goalie Matt Basile made eight of his 13 saves in the first half.

Martin scored back-to-back tallies to put the Eagles up 8-4 with 6:30 to go in the third. The Eagles missed the cage on 11-consecutive shots in the final three minutes of the third period.
