Box Score MADISON, N.J.– Eastern University Women's Tennis outlasted the host FDU-Florham Devils in a seven hour match to win the MAC Freedom Opener for both teams.
Olivia Weaver clinched the marathon match with a 7-5, 5-7, 6-0 win at fourth singles.

Laura Thomas picked up the first Eastern point of the day with an 8-2 win at the top doubles spot. The Devils tied the score with an 8-3 win at third doubles, but
Lauren Good and
Shannon Jugler ground out a tough 9-7 win at second doubles to put the Eagles up going ot singles.
The Devils picked up points at fifth and sixth singles and Paugh and Good each won at first and second singles. Paugh battled to a 7-5, 6-3 win at the top spot. Good overpowered her opponent with a 6-1,6-2 decision at second singles.
The Eagles led 4-3 with both Weaver and
Leslie Henry going to third sets. Henry lost her first set 6-2 before rallying to earn a 7-5 second-set win. Before Henry was deep into her third set, Weaver had secured the match. Henry fell 6-4 in the final set.
"Leslie played really well against a good opponent," Head Coach
Mark Spangler said of the third singles match. "Her forcing a third set was important in the match. This was a good result for us as we work toward a play-off spot.
The Eagles (3-2, 1-0 MAC Freedom) are slated to play at Cabrini on Monday.
