Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - Eastern Women's Tennis lost to Adrian Monday afternoon 7-2. The Eagles won two singles matches but failed to claim a win in the doubles matches.

Laura Thomas battled hard in their doubles match against Adrian's (2-1) Arielle Williams and Renae Almasy but fell 8-5.Â
Emma Paugh won the first match of the day for Eastern (0-1) during the singles matches. Paug defeated Almasy 6-4 and 6-0 to give the Eagles their first point of the day. "Emma played a great match this afternoon," said Head Coach
Mark Spangler. "She played great from the baseline and did a great job of capitalizing on her opportunities."Â
Hannah Reed capped off the scoring for Eastern winning a tough three-set match coming back after falling behind 3-6 after the first set. Reed went on to win the next two sets 7-5 and the super tiebreaker 10-3. "Hannah played arguably the best match of her career today," continued Spangler. " She played outstanding defense and came back to claim a big win."Â
"We need to learn from today and continue to get better," concluded Spangler.
Eastern travel to Alvernia on March 23rd for a 3:30 pm match. Â Â
