BETHLEHEM, Pa.--The undefeated Moravian College Greyhounds (7-0) proved to be too much for Eastern Women's Basketball Tuesday evening.
The Eagles slipped below .500 (3-4) with the 61-43 loss.
Three days after a dramatic win at Delaware Valley where four Eagles scored in double-figures, Eastern's offense was held to 25.4 percent shooting (15-for-59) Tuesday and one Eagle finished in double-digits. Sophomore forward Meghan Nowak led all scorers with 18 points in just 26 minutes of play.
Moravian shot 42.6 percent from the floor and also took 23 free throws to Eastern's nine. The Eagles committed 21 fouls to Moravian's 10. Sophomore starters Meghan Nowak and Gina DiDomenico each picked up four fouls and freshman forward Tori Grossi picked up five.
Moravian's forwards Laura Jordan and Alexis Wright each scored 11 points and guard Amanda Kreuder led the Greyhounds with 12.
After a Kreuder layup put the Greyhounds up 11-9 with 9:40 to play in the first, the Greyhounds remained in the lead the rest of the game.
Eastern has little time to rest as they host Salisbury University Thursday at 7 p.m. and Juniata College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
