Coach Wagner began coaching at Eastern in 1998 and is closing in on 300 career wins and 250 wins at Eastern.

Wagner and his staff have led the Eagles to a 60-15-6 mark with two MAC Freedom Championships mark over the past four years. The Eagles have qualified for post-season play seventeen times and have claimed five conference titles.

The 2016 Eagles claimed a second consecutive MAC Freedom Championship with a pair of Shootout wins in the MAC Freedom Tournament. Eastern then advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 2-0 win over Rochester in the opening round.

The 2015 squad went 15 games without a loss and climbed to as high as No. 8 in the NSCAA National rankings. That team claimed Eastern's first MAC Freedom Men's Soccer Championship.

In 2003, Wagner led Eastern to their first Pennsylvania Athletic Conference title in 10 years. In 2005, the Eagles started the year 15-0 and achieved a top-10 national ranking. the 2005 team was inducted into Eastern's hall of Honor in 2016. That team won a PAC Championship as well.

Wagner’s 2007 squad advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament with a PK Shootout win. That team became the first Men's team in Eastern history to advance in an NCAA Tournament.

In Wagner's first season in 1998, his team posted a 15-5-1 record and went to the top of the charts in NCAA Division III goal-scoring offense.  Wagner was named the PAC Coach of the Year in 1998, 2003 and 2005. Additionally, Wagner has been named Southeast PA College Coach of the Year for NCAA Divisions 1, 2 and 3 on two occasions as well as being honored as NSCAA Adidas Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. His players have earned recognition at the Conference, Regional, and National levels.

Coach Wagner holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and has studied in Dutch, Irish and Czechoslovakian coaching schools. He has served as a state coach in the United States Olympic Development program, served on NCAA III regional and national selection committees.

Wagner is the President of Future 500 Soccer Camps and is the co-founder of T3soccer.

Coach Wagner earned his undergraduate degree from Messiah College ('89), and finished his masters at Elmira College in 1995. He and his wife, Linda, and their two sons Jonathan and Jacob, live in Newtown Square, Pa.
