ASTON, Pa. - Eastern Men's Tennis got back in the win column on Thursday night with a 6-1 win over the Neumann Knights. The Eagles won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches to improve to 5-4 on the season.
Stephen Dottoli and
Peter Folga improved to 5-2 as a doubles unit with a 6-3 win over Mike Brown and Luca Troilo, while
Jeffrey Day and
Jared Groff earned a 6-2 victory over James Leuzzi and Adam Barisa to help Eastern clinch the doubles point.
Dottoli also earned a win at No. 1 singles 5-7, 6-1, 11-9 for his fifth win. Day came away with the victory at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2, while
Jared Groff earned his team high sixth singles win of the year with an identical score at No. 4 singles.
Tiger Winston also secured a tiebreaker win, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7, and
Zachary Sprung recorded Eastern's sixth point with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 6 singles.
The Eagles will be back in action at home this weekend against Rowan College of Gloucester County. First serve is set for 12 noon.
