COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - In its fifth match of the spring season on Wednesday, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to Ursinus College on Wednesday night.
Stephen Dottoli and
Peter Folga earned Eastern's lone win of the evening at No. 1 doubles, but the Eagles failed to secure a single point.
Dottoli and Folga beat Ursinus' Deniz Finkel and Bogdan Maksimovic 6-2 to improve to 4-2 as a doubles pairing this season. In singles play, Dottoli took five games at No. 1 singles but fell to Russell Nour 6-2, 6-3.
Jared Groff won four games in an eventual 6-4, 6-0 loss at No. 4 singles.
Tiger Winston also won five games at No. 5 singles, but fell to Ursinus' Devin Carter 6-4.
Eastern will be back in action against Neumann tomorrow at 4:30 pm in Aston.
