With injuries reducing numbers more Eastern players took injuries and the Eagles wound up with a bit of a make-shift line-up that included
Erin Speak, a soccer player who played last spring, but who was studying abroad until Thursday. Speak had two caused turnovers and three ground balls, but the visiting Blazers still managed to get into scoring positions,
Tori Benjamin made 13 stops to go over 150 on the season.
Morgan Wallace finished with two goals and three assists, and
Natalia Willoughby put away three goals and had four draw controls.
The Blazers (7-8, 3-4) got five goals each from Julia Gregory and Maggie Merrill. Merrill added four assists, and Gregory finished with nine draw controls.
The Eagles (4-11, 0-7) will look to build on four non-league wins and the persistence they built down the stretch as they add another recruiting class for the fall.
