ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Eastern University Women's Tennis (2-8) claimed just a single point in a closely-contested home loss to Rowan College of Gloucester County.
Kayleigh Achenbach claimed the lone Eastern point with a win at fifth singles.
Achenbach won her match, 6-1, 6-4. The Eagles suffered close singles losses in three other flights.
Anisah Smith dropped her match, 6-3, 7-6, and
Lily Aldrich fell, 6-4, 6-4.
Sarah Mower fell , 6-3, 6-3 at the second spot.
The Roadrunners (6-1) secured the doubles point with quick wins at the top two flights and claimed wins in all three matches with an 8-6 tiebreak win over Aldrich and
Gabby Sutton at the third doubles spot.
The Eagles will host MAC Commonwealth foe Alvernia on Tuesday.
