ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern Women's Tennis got back in the win column on Tuesday with a 6-1 win over the visiting Alvernia Golden Wolves. It was the Eagles' first win over the Golden Wolves since the 2017-2018 season.

The quickly earned a 2-0 lead with wins at No. 5 and 6 singles via forfeit. After another forfeit at No. 3 doubles, Eastern claimed the doubles point at No. 2 doubles as Mary Brusstar and Grace Schreiver won over Adelynn Steffy and Grace Dobrzynski 6-3.

The Eagles went on to claim three more wins at singles play. Brusstar won her second match at No. 2 singles over Steffy, 6-4, 6-2. Kayleigh Achenbach won her fourth match of the season, and her first at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-2. Finally, Sarah Mower earned her team-best fifth win of the season, 6-2, 4-6, 10-5 over Jamielyn Kelley at No. 3 singles.

The Eagles will head to Allentown on Thursday to take on the Muhlenberg Mules. First serve is set for 4:00 pm.
