ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In its final non-conference tilt of the season, Eastern Men's Tennis picked up a 4-3 home win over Rowan College of Gloucester County on Thursday evening. The Eagles recorded all four of their points in singles play as
Jeffrey Day,
Peter Folga,
Jared Groff, and
Fredy Rodriguez all recorded wins.
Day recorded his fourth win of the season at No. 1 singles, beating Rowan's Rich Feldman 6-3, 6-4. Sophomore
Peter Folga earned his fifth victory at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Maddox Marker. Day and Folga also secured their fourth win as a duo at No. 1 doubles, recording a 6-1 win.
Groff picked up a critical point at No. 4 singles, winning his fifth match since joining the team this spring. The first-year won the first 6-3, and after losing set two 6-1, won the tiebreaker by a score of 10-8. Rodriguez clinched Eastern's fifth win of the season at No. 5 singles, beating Steven Bonilla 6-4, 6-2.
Eastern will conclude its season on Sunday in afternoon matinee against York College. First serve is set for 12 noon.
