YORK, Pa.– Capping a tough week in the MAC Commonwealth, Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped a 20-1 decision to the No. 8 York College Spartans.
Amira Solomon scored the lone goal for the Eagles.
The Spartans (10-3, 3-0) dominated possession early and scored ten times in the first quarter. York won seven-of-11 draws and forced nine turnovers. Natasha Chaliiou made five of her ten stops in the first quarter.
The Eagles scored the first goal of the second half when Solomon finished a pass from
Morgan Wallace, but the Spartans scored the final six goals of the game for the final score.
The Eagles won nine of the 24 draws in the game. Wallace had three and
Natalia Willoughby and
Gracie Horton each grabbed two. Willoughby had a team-best five ground balls.
The Eagles (2-9, 0-4) are at Alvernia on Wednesday.
