ASTON, Pa. - Going up against the Neumann Knights for the second time this season, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 5-2 decision on Tuesday afternoon.
Jeffrey Day and
Peter Folga each recorded wins in their singles matches for Eastern's two points on the day.
Day earned his third win of the season at No. 1 singles, defeating Neumann's Jason Petrin by a score of 6-4, 6-2. Folga won his fourth match at No. 2 singles, losing just four games in a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Vince Landis. He is tied with
Fredy Rodriguez for the most singles' wins by an Eastern Men's Tennis player.
Day and Folga played a competitive match at No. 1 doubles, but lost to Petrin and Landis 7-5.
Jeremy Brown and
Jared Groff played to a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles. However, Neumann's Joe Troilo and Trevor Lodge won the tiebreaker 7-4.
Eastern is back home on Thursday afternoon to take on the Muhlenberg College Mules in another non-conference affair. First serve is set for 4:00 pm.
