GLENSIDE, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse opened the 2025 season with a 17-7 non-league loss at Arcadia University.
Gracie Horton and
Natalia Willoughby each scored twice in the setback.
Amira Solomon scored her first career goal less than two minutes. The host Knights, playing in their second game of the season, then scored ten of the next 11 goals to take a 10-2 lead after a quarter.
CJ Summa scored the only goal in the stretch for the Eagles.
After Arcadia (2-0) opened the scoring in the second quarter,
Addyson Whitaker answered with her first career goal a minute later. The Knights scored twice more in the second period to hold a 13-3 lead at halftime.
The two teams each scored four times in the second half.
Morgan Wallace, who picked up the assist on Summa's goal in the first, recorded assists on Horton's first goal and Willoughby's second. Horton also had an assist in the fourth quarter. Wallace and Horton each finished the game with three draw controls.

Erin Speak was great leading our defensive effort. We got great contributions from our new players at both ends of the field against a challenging game one opponent."
This coming Wednesday the Eagles (0-1) are slated to host the Gators of Notre Dame of Maryland University.
