ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Eastern University Men's Tennis won five of six singles matches and took the doubles point to improve to 3-0 in the fall with a home win over Cairn.
The Eagles started the day with wins at first and second doubles.
Peter Folga and
Stephen Dottoli earned a 6-4 win at the top spot and
Jeffrey Day and Jareed Groff cruised to a 6-0 win at the second spot.
Day and Dottoli each dropped only three games in winning 6-2, 6-1 decisions at the top two spots and Folga won 6-4, 6-3. Groff and
Tiger Winston picked up the final two singles points for the Eagles. Groff won 6-0, 6-3 at the fourth spot and Winston dropped only a single game in winning 6-1, 6-0 at the sixth spot.
The Eagles hope to build on the momentum of a good fall as they prepare to compete in the MAC Commonwealth season this spring.
