ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Head Football Coach
Billy Crocker today released his squad's schedule for the 2024 season. The Eagles will play six home games in their second varsity season.
The Eagles open the year with a home test on Sept. 7 against The College of New Jersey Lions. Their only non-league game of the season is a return date from the program's opening game in 2023. In that game, TCNJ led 27-21 midway through the third quarter before scoring the final two touchdowns of the game to earn a 41-21 win.
The Eagles will remain home for their next two games. They will take on Widener on Sept. 14 and Lebanon Valley College the following Saturday. Those two opponents were the only two MAC squads to score more than 30 points against the Eagles.
The Eagles will make their first trip to Reading on Sept. 28 when they will take on Albright for the final game before the bye week. Eastern earned a 21-9 Homecoming win over the Lions when the two teams met last year.
Brett Nabb ran for a score and threw for two more in the win.
After the bye, Eastern will host King's on Oct. 12 before returning to Reading to play a 1:00 pm game at Alvernia. The contest against the Golden Wolves is the only game of the year not slated for a noon kickoff.
Eastern will host Stevenson and Misericordia before finishing the year on the road at Delaware Valley and FDU-Florham.
After playing at Franklin Field last year, Eastern's home games will be played locally at the team facility in Radnor. Ticket information will be made available later in the summer.
