OWINGS Mills, Md.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped their MAC Commonwealth opener at Stevenson. Gracie Horton and Emerson Shauger scored goals in the 20-2 loss.

The host Mustangs had an 18-4 edge in draw controls and forced 18 Eastern turnovers. The Mustangs (7-4, 1-0) scored the first 14 goals of the match before Horton broke through on a feed from Emily Stiles late in the second quarter.

The Mustang lead grew to 20-1 before Shauger connected on her 17th goal of the game to end the match.

Jordana Fredo made five stops in goal.

The Eagles are at Messiah University on Wednesday.
