ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Though they finally got a wonderful spring to play, Eastern University Women's Tennis was unable to win a match in a 9-0 MAC Commonwealth loss to the visiting Messiah University Falcons.

Messiah (3-8, 1-1) swept through the doubles matches. Erin Figueroa and Mercedes Lohmann won a game at the third spot, but the Falcons had a 3-0 lead heading to singles. 

Trinity Gruber had several lengthy points in a 63,6-2 loss at the to singles spot. Anisah Smith won games in both sets in a two-set loss at fourth singles and Kiley McHugh and Lohman fell in two competitive sets in the final two spots in the order. 

Eastern will travel to Muhlenberg College for a non-league match on Saturday.
