ALLENTOWN, Pa. - In its final non-conference action of the season on Saturday, Eastern Women's Tennis dropped an 8-1 decision to the Muhlenberg Mules. Trinity Gruber and Anisah Smith picked up their third win of the season at No. 2 doubles for Eastern's lone point.

Gruber and Smith played an excellent match against Muhlenberg's Caitlyn Bestrycki and Alexandra Downey, winning the match 8-2.

Gruber also put forth an excellent showing at No. 1 singles, dropping a tight 14-12 third set tiebreaker to Sophia Framm. Smith also battled at No. 4 singles, winning the first set 6-3 before falling in a 12-10 third set tiebreaker.

Eastern (3-10, 0-4) returns to conference action Tuesday at Albright. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
