ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In its conference home opener on Wednesday, Eastern Women's Tennis dropped a 7-2 decision to the Alvernia Golden Wolves. First-year Grace Schreiver had a strong day for the Eagles, recording her second singles and third doubles win of the season.

Mercedes Lohmann picked up the Eagles' first win with an 8-6 victory over Noelle De Magistris and Sarah Mies. With the win, the duo improved to 3-3.
Schreiber also recorded Eastern's second victory at No. 5 singles after a fierce battle with Mies. After winning the first set 6-4, the West Creek, N.J. native earned a hard-fought, 8-6 victory via the tiebreaker. With the victory, Schriever improved to 1-1 in conference play.
Eastern (3-7, 0-2) returns to conference action this coming Saturday at Hood. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
