UNION, N.J.– In a match rescheduled from a snow day in February, Eastern University Men's Volleyball dropped a three-set decision at Kean University. Coming off Spring Break, the Egles hit just .098 in the match.
Rodney Quarles led the Eagles with eight kills.
Eastern's best set came in the third. The Eagles led 9-4 early and did not trail in the set until 22-21. Though the Eagles lost 27-25, they did not have a set point in the frame. Quarles had five of Eastern's 16 kills in the set.
The Eagles were tied at 19-19 in the opening set, but the host Cougars pulled away with three straight points and won 25-22.
Connor Tucholski had three of his seven kills in the opening set.
Kean held the Eagles to negative hitting number sin the second set and won 25-19.
The Eagles will host Randolph-Macon and Widener in a tri-match on Saturday.
