CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Coming off two straight wins to begin the spring season, Eastern Men's Tennis were able to muster only one win in an 8-1 defeat at DeSales on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles' lone win came at No. 3 doubles, as the duo of
Jacob Craig and
Ethan Goonewardene beat Christopher Gomez and Nicholas Ofak by a score of 8-6. Craig and Goonewardene won their third straight match as a unit, improving to 3-1 on the season.
Craig had a solid start to his No. 4 singles match, but ultimately fell to Brent Holzman 6-4, 6-1. At. No. 6 singles,
Fredy Rodriguez battled Gomez to a third set, but fell 10-6 in the tiebreaker.
Eastern (2-4) returns to action on Saturday, April 6 for its conference opener at York. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
