ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse scored seven goals but dropped a 19-7 decision at Elizabethtown College in a non-league contest.
Emerson Shauger led the eastern attack with three goals and a game-high nine draw controls.
Coming into the game with several key players missing practice time with injury illness, the Eagles controlled 19 draws to 11 for the hosts, but the Blue Jays (2-4) built a 4-2 lead after one quarter and were up 13-5 at the half.
Teresa Gailey had a pair of first-half goals and
Morgan Wallace scored once, Shauger scored a pair of first-half goals.
Marcianna Tavani made six of her ten stops in the first half.
Wallace scored to open the third quarter, but the hosts answered with five straight to open a big cushion. Shauger scored her third of the day late in the third.
The Eagles (1-4) will head back to Central Pa on Wednesday for a game at Lebanon Valley College.
